Three Animals in Asia

The forest of Asia contain many wild animals. Many of them however are threatened directly or indirectly by man. One of the most beautiful is the leopard. It eats birds, lizards, and other small animals, and grows up to two metres long. Leopard are independent animals and often travel through the jungle alone, moving very fast. Because of the colour of their bodies, they are almost invisible in the jungle.

Elephants are still found in the jungle of Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia amd Indonesia. The elephants is the biggest animal in the world today. But there are insufficient large forest in Asia today to support large numbers of elephants. We have to conserve their population.

A famous animal from Sumatera and Borneo is the orang utan. It grows up to two metres tall. Orang-utan are quite friendly animals and are no danger to man. They live chiefly on fruit and vegetables. Orang-utan like monkey, moreover funnier than monkey.
